In Madrid since 1860
The most ancient traces of espadrilles worldwide date from 4.000 years ago and were found in the province of Granada, Spain. Casa Vega has been manufacturing and selling espadrilles and horsebackriding equipment since 1860. What started 161 years ago as a venture to address the needs of local farmers and stockbreeders has now become a centenary brand that offers a selected range of impeccably manufactured and timeless espadrilles, handbags and accessories.
Sustainable & Handmade Crafts
Espadrilles, handbags and accesories in CASA VEGA are handmade in Spain, using high quality raw materials that are both natural and recyclable. We also use vegan leathers and recycled materials to elaborate some of our collections. Our packaging, tapes, envelopes and shipping material are sustainable and degradable. And we minimize our carbon footprint controlling all our manufacturing and logistics processes.
In CASA VEGA we try to hire people with high potential that need to integrate in the labor force or has come to our country in search of opportunities.
Our new collections are inspired by the jute and raphia traditional espadrilles and baskets. Leather handbags recuperate the flavor of old pieces elaborated for hunting, stockbreeding and horseback riding.
Well made and refined, our collections are produced in small quantities by artisans. This way, we try to promote conscious consumption and to recuperate traditional craftmanships. We propose a series of timeless staples for a versatile and cosmopolitan wardrobe, pieces that include high quality details with a sophisticated but bohemian touch.
CASA VEGA’s original store by the Madrid flea market is a curious space with plenty of local flavour where all accessories presented are a good alternative for summer outfits. Our classic and retro leather handbags make great basics for all year long attires. Our exquisite loungewear portrays a very special touch and a small collection of gifts will be a source of inspiration for any occasion. CASA VEGA is a Madrid classic address with a contemporary twist.
